Is Family therapy confidential?
Yes - Information shared by you is confidential and will not be shared with others without your agreement except:
- In the case of potential danger to yourself or others.
- For the purpose of professional supervision I may share with my colleague/ supervisor non identifying information about your situation.
Therapist & clients are both responsible for safety & well being
In the therapy session I am responsible for client safety and management of the session. Outside of appointments clients are personally responsible for their own safety and if necessary should not hesitate to contact emergency services.
How long is a session?
- An individual therapy session is usually 60 minutes and can be extended by mutual agreement
- Sessions of 90 and 120 minutes can be booked for families, for coaching & clinical supervision
- Pro rata charges apply by mutual agreement if a normal session needs to exceed 60 minutes
What do your services cost?
Fees charged for therapy & counselling do not depend on how many people are being seen.
A flat charge of $150 applies to family, couple and individual sessions. Payment is due on the day either in cash or by internet banking. Corporate and government clients are billed fortnightly for employee sessions and required to pay on the 20th of the billing month.
